Grading is the Karate Examinations to which a student will be tested to assess his progress. The Student is then permitted to wear a certain colour belt depending on what level the student is current.

Belts change in color as the student progresses.

• White x 2
• Yellow
• Green
• Purple x 2
• Brown x 3
• Black x 10

Gradings in the SKIF Ireland occur twice yearly under the instruction of Kancho Kanazawa and Sensei Nobuaki Kanazawa. These Gradings and Seminars are held in various locations around Ireland in April and November approx.

Within SKIF Ireland we have grading officers who can grade students every three months.
